Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Moore!!!!!

As many of you reading this probably already know, my best friend Jamie got married Saturday June 18. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful ceremony, and the most emotional wedding I have ever been to or been a part of in my entire life!

It all started at 1 pm. The tabernacle at the camp was filled. The guys adorned their bouteneirres. The girls dressed to impress holding their marvelous bouquets. The music gets epic and the doors open to the most beautiful bride. She walks down the aisle with her daddy and joins her groom at the alter. The pastor prays, we worship together, and the bride and groom do a prayer of confession.

Finally, they wash each others feet, and Jamie dries Ty's feet with her dress. The tears are now pouring down that I can't even tell if I am actually crying, or just sweating profusely. They join together in communion. They kiss. And they are now Mr. and Mrs!

Ok, so the way I describe it, doesn't even come close. The day was so beautiful! I don't have my own pics to share, so I am going to try and snag some off facebook. I am so very happy and proud of the two of you! Love you both so much!

Melting Heart

Last night as Brandon and I were preparing for bed, he held Emma up and was having a little conversation with her. She was smiling and trying to talk back. It just started to melt my heart to see father-daughter interaction between these two. This went on for a brief moment and Emma then began to get a little fussy... Brandon said to her, "Don't be fussy! You're my little princess!" This pregnancy and post, I've been so emotional and that comment just sent me into tears! I love watching Brandon with our kids, he is such a loving father! Our babes are so blessed to have such a wonderful Heavenly Father and earthly father!

This love just melts my heart.

Growing Up

Is not easy. The friends you always thought you would have, are not necessarily gone, but they just don't understand. Life has different seasons. I just wish that all my friends were in the same season as me. Maybe thats selfish, but they don't understand that picking up and taking off for a "spontaneous" week end is not an option anymore.

Giving time is not nearly as manageable as it was before, all your time and efforts go into your family. Not working, but staying home with the babes, means that is my job. I don't have much of a life outside of that, so finding things to talk about are very limited.

You, dear friend, may have something going on in your life that is super awesome, or such a bummer, I'm sorry I can't always be there. The expectations you have always had of me, because I was always there, can no longer be. I can't put you first all the time, because I have a husband and 2 children to think of before you. I can offer my prayer, my love, my support. But sometimes this will only be allowed in spirit.

I am not talking to anyone specific with this, I just felt the need to post it. When you have children, you will understand how hard it is to pack up the entire house for an 8 hour day, and then some. I love my hubby, my kids, my life, and I would not change a thing. So please just understand, when I offer my help, I can't just dive in like the old days. When we were kids. When we didn't have responsibilities like this.

The days of Kyle and Emma, where there wasn't a care or a worry in the world! Where we could swim all day, stay up all night, get dirty, go to movies, pay 5 bucks to go out to eat at Wendy's or Taco Bell. Where shows were the greatest, coolest, funnest thing to do on a week end. I'm excited to be in bed by 10 on any day, but on the week end!? Its the greatest. I'm excited to sleep in until 8 am, who would have thought!?

Its not your fault you don't understand. One day, I hope and pray you will. Children are a huge blessing, don't get me wrong, I'm not bestowing a curse upon you or anything like that. I just want you to realize life only gets harder, but not even in a bad way. Just busier. Longer days. But the reward in the end is this:

How blessed.
