Not much new...

Well, there isn't much new to write, but I thought maybe I should
update anyway.
Well, I am 13 weeks this week. Apparently,
that means I am in my "transition" from first to
second trimester. Weird. Its still so weird to think
that Brandon and I are going to have a baby.

Last night I had a dream that we had a baby girl.
Not only was it a girl, but she has a FULL head of
hair. Red hair. THICK red hair. It looked like a wig.
It was gross. But, it looked like I loved her
nonetheless in my dream. Which I will, but I do
hope baby doesn't have a wig-like hairstyle
upon entering the world.

I bought another bag of diapers, size 1 this time.

We are moving out of our little house, and in with my parents.
We are hoping this will not be a long stay... but money
proves to be an issue, and I guess you need to have some
in order to make it on your own. Who'd-uh thought!?

Have you ever watched those "Judge Such-n-such" shows
on almost every channel in the afternoon? Its really not
worth anyone's while, but sometimes the argument
between plaintiff and defendant are rather
humorous... and I find myself
watching them on my lunch break.
What junk.

Well, I go to the doctor again October 7 and I
will hopefully have more to update on then. Oh, I
forgot to write about the last appointment. Not
much happened. I had a full pelvic exam. My
first male doctor encounter. And we heard the heartbeat
again. It was hard to find, but he found it. I don't
know what to expect at this next appointment!

Changed

Do people not realize that when a woman
is only 2-3 months (sometimes a few moths more)
along, that the only outside thing REALLY
happening, is that she can't suck the pudge in
anymore that she used to? Do you know how
many people have patted my tummy and said,
"Oh, you're starting to get your pooch already!"
I'M NOT thank you very much! Sure I can't button
my pants anymore, but the button and buttonhole
are still pretty darn close to touching! I even
had a lady come up to me at church, pat my tummy,
and then she said to me, "Wow, you look like you
are further along than what you are telling people!"
Brandon and I both about smacked her. I know
she wasn't trying to be mean, but come on, seriously?
My cousin Neil, I haven't seen him all summer
he's been in Alaska-hunted and killed a bear!!-
was hanging out with his sister when I went to meet up with her,
I hugged him and noticed that his arm muscles
looked my bigger these days so I said to him:
C:Neil, you're looking bigger!
(As I squeezed his arms)
N: Hey, so are you!
1.) I found this funny, but couldn't help
but give him a hard time about it,
because he's family and was making
a joke.
2.) I think he thought i actually felt bad about
his comment, so me giving him a hard time
about it made him feel bad for being mean
even though i didn't actually find it offensive.

But I mean seriously people, if I were noticing
someone gaining weight i wouldn't go up to them and
pat their tummy and so, "Oh, you're getting a little pooch!"
I think its just plain rude. Pregnant or not, its rude.

I'll step off my soapbox now... here are a couple
of things I have learned about pregnancy lately.
1.) Don't drink milk too fast.... it comes back up faster.
2.) Milk is the greatest thing I have ever thrown up...
a.) It was smooth, and didn't hurt
b.) It was still cold and not curdled.
3.) My baby apparently doesn't like poppyseed muffins as
it's first meal in the morning.

Now that I have probably grossed everyone out,
I have a question or ten.

1.) When can I start registering for baby stuff?!
2.) How fast do babies generally grow out of newborn, size 1,2,3
diapers?
3.) Is there anything I should be buying ahead of time or
preparing ahead of time (besides obvious nesting routines)?
4.) Brandon and I are (of course) worried about finances,
does anyone have any saving tips that may be helpful?

I guess that wasn't exactly 1 or 10 questions, but rather
in-between. That's all I got for now (i forgot what
else I wanted to write about...)

Our First Baby Stuff Buying Adventure!

So, my mom and I decided that we
are going to buy a pack of diapers a
month at least until the baby is born (Lisa
decided to join us in this endeavor as well!)
Anyway, so last night my mom and I went out
and bought diapers. NEWBORN diapers...
these things are the Cutest little things I have
ever see in my entire life, they would pretty much
fit a baby doll! Here's a couple pictures of these
cute little bottom coverings!

(Its got a little spot so it doesnt touch the umbilical cord!)
