Father's Day I will Never Forget
At 8ish am I received news that a childhood pal had been in an accident around midnight and did not make it. This news was so numbing. I didn't know what to say, how to pray, or if I should even believe it! Finally as the day wound down and more news came in, and we were watching his accident unfold on the news, i was broken. The family, his girlfriend, his friends! My heart hurts for his family. My mind is baffled as to the why or what of it all. But that is not for me, the Lord has taken him home for His own purpose. Evan has satisfied the Lord's plan for him and has been called home. "Blessed is the man who gets to feast at the Table in the Kindom of God!" Luke 14:15. You will be missed and never forgotten.
Please remember his family in prayer, this is never an easy thing to handle or wrap your mind around.

A new post may be in order...
Well all, its been over 2 months since my last post. And we have been busy, busy, busy. We celebrated our 4th year of marriage on May 10th. Brandon worked so we didn't do much. But the night before we went on a date and had planned for dinner, but the timing of all of it, made dinner a drive-thru purchase at Burger King around 11pm on our way home. Emma has all 4 of her molars almost all the way through. Kyle has suddently quit sleeping well in his room, so we just moved Emma in there. So far, night one, has been really good. We will see how the rest of it goes!
The festivities began with us getting in a car accident Monday on our way to meet Michelle so we could go dress shopping for the wedding. The car is salvageable and we are all ok. No one was hurt and we praise the Lord for that! We should have it back by Thursday...
Then Tuesday morning we went to Janell's house and we folded/tied 200 programs only to find that the middle page was turned the wrong way in every single one of them. Since we had work to do later that day we didn't have to undo all of them and redo them again, but we did help some!
Wednesday was prebacheloretting. I worked until noon then took the kids to grab goodies for the bachelorette party. Jack also got into town and we were able to hang out with family that evening. This was also the celebration day of Kyle Conrad's life that was lost 2 years ago already...! I know time does not heal this wound, but makes it easier to bear. The Lord does not give you more than you can handle. Family and friends of his are very strong on Earth and excited for a reunion in Heaven!
Thursday we partied! We learned a new dance via Janell and had such a blast during the party. The guys did their own shindig in Chicago and had a great time as well! Party success!
Friday was the day before the big day! We had lots to do, rides to figure out, babes to nap and places to be! We had a pretty low key evening with the rehearsal and dinner. Then Lisa, Erin, and Christina (Canadian Cousins!) came over for a bit and we had some great conversation.
Then it was Saturday! WEDDING DAY! We had a wonderful time celebrating with Andrew and Janell! The dance floor was virtually never empty, and neither were the drinks! We had a wonderul time being with family and friends and welcoming Janell into the family! Sidenote: Janell and I have been friends since 5th grade. I am thrilled that she is my sister-in-law!
The following week was kind of a blur, busy but not as busy. Thankfully I was able to destress at a fabulous girl's night Friday with Lauren, Abby, and Michelle while the boys played nerf! The following evening was a nice little reception for my childhood friend and her new hubby! It was beautiful, we didn't stay long but it was so great to see her again! The next morning started off a father's day I will never forget....
What we have been up to in the last couple months....
On with the stories....
June 2, our friend Dave and Biz were married, and it was a beautiful wedding. She made for a dashing bride! The following week was wedding mode for the whole Pannabecker/Blunt family as Andrew and Janell prepared for their wedding day June 9!The festivities began with us getting in a car accident Monday on our way to meet Michelle so we could go dress shopping for the wedding. The car is salvageable and we are all ok. No one was hurt and we praise the Lord for that! We should have it back by Thursday...
