I swear Kyle thinks his name is Caillou. He asks for Caillou ALL the time, if you sing the theme song (which happens quite often, since its the main thing Kyle watches these days) he starts saying "Caillou, Caillou..." and if you call Kyle's name, he starts saying Caillou again! He has picked some of the hardest words to say first. Outside, grandpa, yes, and Caillou. Of course he says other things too, but the fact that Caillou was on the top of the list just amuses me.
In other news, Kyle got his second hep A and flu shot yesterday. Emma got 4 shots (including her flu shot) and both babes have been CRANKY. They both slept though for a good two-ish hours after the shots, woke up for maybe 2 more hours, and slept almost allllllll night! It was wonderful to get a decent night sleep.
Emma is 6 months old, old enough to start baby food. Well, she WONT eat it. She spits it out like its the nastiest thing on earth! Doc's solution? Give her over cooked, easy to mush food. Mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, bananas, etc. She is trying to be a toddler already, she's too grown up for baby food. We have also discovered Emma standing in her crib multiple times already. She was pulling herself up on the couch yesterday for the first time successfully. Here we go again!
I am now working at the church one day a week cleaning and two days a week for an older lady who I feel like, just likes the company, and twice a month for my dad's cousin. The indcome isn't much, but it all helps. I feel a little more useful too. Amazing how getting out of the house and away from the babies, well, one baby anyway, can give you the independence you need and yearn for. Its so hard staying inside all day or even just being at home all day. We desperately need another car, but with the money situation, its highly unlikely we could actually afford it. Especially with Brandon working 20ish hours a week. But I'm very thankful to be able to stay with the kids rather than rely on someone else to basically raise them. SO if they turn out crazy and all messed up, I can know its my fault, and not someone who tormented them.
Well, here are a few pics from my mother-in-law. The one of Ky is kinda weird, but Emma is just too sweet.
"I used to hate this guy... he's alright now."
Sittin on her foot, smiley girl!
ky is totally making a brandon face there!

We have the same problem with Cooper - with the food! He will NOT eat any kind of baby food, at all. So we are doing Avocado, bananas, sweet potatoes, and noodles (without diary products). Oh it's so hard! I'm going to try carrots tonight! What is up with not wanting baby food?! :)
