June was a crazy awful weird month. It started great with a wedding, then a car accident, but another wedding to lighten it up again! Then a friend passed in a nasty car accident, and when things couldn't get worse, Brandon's grandma passed. We drove to gas city and spent 3 whole days with family. And celebrated Grandma's life. It was a really relaxing fun time. June just couldn't be entirely calm.
And July is proving to be a little better. Slowly but surely we will get back to a state of happy and content, only to be thwarted into another stage of life being, well, life!
We started July with a "new" car purchase. A nice little thing for Brandon to drive around town in. We went to many 4th of July events, and Kyle hates fireworks. Emma claps for them because they are "preh" (pretty). We drove to Chicago stayed about 45 minutes and drove home (picked up Zoey dog for my brother so he could hang in Chi-town when he arrived from Oregon). Traded our nissan in for a minivan (!!!!!) and now this coming week end, we are going to Indy for a welcome party to my newest sister-in-law!
It's not even mid-july (though it is fast approaching!) and so much has happened this month. Today i even took the kids, all by myself, to go see Chimpanzee, a Disney documentary. I was surprised (and delighted) to find the kids really enjoyed it... however, when we first got there all I could think was "what the heck did I get myself into!?" As soon as the lights went down Emma dropped her paci and all crying hell broke loose. She had shots at her 15month check yesterday and uh, was still a little out of sorts this afternoon. Thankfully i brought snacks and neither child had a care in the world, until we needed a potty break. But it all worked out and i was pleased at how well behaved my kiddos are. I'm so proud of who are they becoming. I joke about Emma being a little Stink all the time, but really, she is such a good sweet girl.
Jason went back home to Oregon in the wee hours of the morning this morning. He left a gift for Kyle and Emma behind, which they love. He's such a good uncle. It didn't even take my kids a lot of time for them to warm up to him being here! Also pleased they were able to show Jason some love while he was in town!
I've got a few pics to post, but we can all see how well I am doing at getting those pics loaded onto the computer.... Eventually I will get some pics up. Until then, go here... because it's funny...
