I've not been keeping up with this blog for awhile now! Those of you who read it, I see frequently though so it's not such a big deal these days!
Just to give a few updates:
*We moved from Granger to South Bend, a five minute walk to Notre Dame.
*Emma is almost potty trained, except she is scared to death to poop on the potty. Common, but how do we get past that!?
*The kids transitioned well to the move, but miss Grammy and Grampa and of course Lucy dearly. They miss the kids too, Lucy has even regressed in her behavior....
*The Campbells are in town and we've been spending a ton of time with them! The kids love seeing their cousins, Isaiah, "Isaiah", and sometimes David. Usually they're just "cousins" but sometimes there are two Isaiahs and sometimes David comes out of their mouths... but none to the correct name and person correlation...
*We had some crazy spray paint can and gurgling sounds in our van until it finally crapped out on us, only to realize we needed a new water pump. We had been debating on a good time to take it in and get it fix etc and then God decided Thursday right after work was perfect. I agree! So now its running smoothly and quietly. :o)
A couple of months ago Kyle fell and smacked his head HARD on a table at my parents. We waited and watched for a few days before deciding we should probably take him to the ER. They did a CT Scan and asked lots of questions, particularly about why he wasn't brought in sooner.... and then we were released with an all clear on the possible skull fracture. Praise the Lord! The day after this "little" accident happened, we had Kyle and Emma's 2/3 year pics with Ty. Thankfully you couldn't tell in the pictures that Kyle had a large bruised bump and blackening eyes... however, if we had waited the next day or two, there would have been NO hiding it! I'm glad I keep his hair longer too....
That was our first, and hopefully last, hospital trip (surprisingly) with Kyle... I fully anticipate Emma to break about every bone in her body.... my risk taker. :o)
We attempted to do the "no poo method" with baking soda and vinegar, lets just say two weeks was way too long for me and I gave up and went back to store bought 'poo. Brandon, however, has a nice curl to his hair and thoroughly enjoys the "no poo method"! Hey, if it works keep doing it!
Next time, if I have the pics back from Ty, I'll post those!
I've been working on the no 'poo method too. It was amazing right up until it became a constant 90 degrees in our apartment... Kind of a bummer but I'm enjoying my natural 'poo.
ReplyDeleteGlad you guy were able to find a good place to live, and as I'm learning location is everything!
Yes i want to see those pics!!! Was the no poo not really working well for you?! I forgot to ask you about that last week!
