Well all, as most of you, if not all of you, know
by now, as of last Thursday I am 50% effaced and 2 cm dilated.
Yay! But nothing to get TOOOOOOOOO excited about, though
to be perfectly honest, it is VERY hard not to be! Tomorrow I
have another appointment, and I am hoping to hear more good
news about the progress! I've had intense Braxton Hicks
contractions, but nothing "real" and "little pulls" in between
my hips! I can even feel the baby's head moving around,
and it seems like Baby is trying to move himself/herself down.
There has been A TON of movement today, like the baby is
just wiggling and pushing himself/herself further and further!
But there again, don't want to get my hopes up!
Yesterday, Lauren and I went for a walk, with Owen! We hung out
for most of the rest of the afternoon, and it was a bunch of fun! It
was definitely really nice to get out of the house and spend time with
another human being. Not that my brother isn't a human, but
another female's interaction who's at the same stage of life as
myself, was so wonderful! Owen is having his first birthday
party Sunday, and I am so excited for it! However, if the baby
decides to come then, I will so excited for that as well! :o)
After Lauren and I finished up our hang out time, she took me
to Starbucks, because Brandon told me that there were "a bunch of
presents there for me to open". So when I got there, I was presented with
a pyramid of gifts! At the very top was a cute little travel bag full of
Johnson and Johnson Head-to-toe wash and lotions, creams, and
q-tips! The next gift held a Safety First brand collection of little important
items! The next gift held a sleep sack, which is basically a blanket
replacement that you zip baby into. Its so nothing can cover the
baby's face while it sleeps, since Baby can't turn or move things away
from the face for a while. The final gift held our bouncer that matches the
swing we registered for! I was super excited for this one! I am all about
things matching, so to see it and know that we actually received it
was so exciting! The crew at Starbucks that pitched in is just awesome!
We are so very blessed, as is our baby already, to have so many people
that just love love love on us! God has given so much to us, whether
it be directly from Him or through others! A HUGE thank you to
EVERYONE and much love to you all!
I will try to keep you all updated after tomorrow's appointment.
As for now, Brandon and I are going for a LONG walk!
