Well, its been almost an entire month since I have last updated this blog! Kyle is 2 months old already! We just had his two month appointment yesterday! He got shots! BOY was he MAD! He forgot about it within a couple minutes, and I gave him a bottle spiked with tylenol :o) He was a very sleepy boy afterwards. Today, however, most of his awake time has been fussy, which was to be expected because of his shots. He isn't growing like he should, he is in the 9th percentile for his age, but the doc thinks its because he is burning more calories than he is taking in. So back to the doc we go in another month! For a weight check. Kyle has been such an active babe from the beginning, but a 9 week old baby should not be standing or trying to walk, this he started about 3-4 weeks into life! He holds his head up so very well, which he has been doing since the day after he was born, and I feel like he is older than he really is! Kyle is also starting to smile A LOT, he started this a few weeks ago as well as babbling. He is also starting to blow bubbles! Its cute, but when i go to give him a kiss, I find a ton of slobber on his cheek! Thankfully, there hasn't been any spit-up involved with it when i kiss him!
We hung out with Brandon and Jamie and Ty all day Wednesday, and Jamie got to put him to bed, I think Kyle is going to miss the two of them. Jamie is leaving for Israel TOMORROW (for 2 weeks) and Ty leaves for Costa Rica Tuesday (for 3 months!) Kyle isn't the only who will miss them! ;o)
Kyle is also sleeping well at night, though its averaging 3-4 hrs, he sometimes gives me 5-6.5hrs at a time, but the average still stands at 3-4 hrs. I'm glad he is learning to sleep longer, its nice for both of us! :o)
Brandon is transitioning into a managing position soon, training this week and I think next week. I am so very proud of him! He will be leaving for a week to help his brother move to Texas, in June. So Kyle and I will be on our own... with Grammy and Grampy Silveus. (and the dogs) and Uncle Jason.
Brandon and I (along with Kyle) joined Jamie and Ty at GCC for a Wednesday night marriage class, with Bob Laurent. Dr. Bob reminded me years ago at Teen Camp the importance of praying for protection against the Evil One, especially when it comes to family. Wednesday night he reminded me again, and you would think that I would have remembered to do this as soon as I found out I was preggers with Lil Punk, but I completely forgot! The class, by the way, was about "Fighting Fair". And most of the information was a reminder of what Brandon and I learned during premarital counseling, with Kirk and Amber. A healthy reminder is always good though!
We have been enjoying spending time with Mark and Lauren and Owen! Its such a blessing to have friends our age, who are in the same stage of life as we are. SO happy you guys moved back!
I'll leave you with some pics of our recent trip to the park!
